  • Pure Audio Video 2800 W State Rd 84, Suite #107 Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312 United States (map)

"Keeping beaches dark at night and free of obstacles will help sea turtles during their nesting season, which begins in Florida on March 1 and lasts through the end of October." - Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission

By law, Florida’s beachfront residents and visitors taking these actions will help conserve the loggerhead, leatherback and green sea turtles that nest on the state’s coastlines.

Who is this session for: Interior Designers, Builders, and Architects who work on homes in South Florida’s coastline, as well as homeowners who hope to learn more about requirements and options to take action in conversation.

What’s it For: Nesting season for sea turtles starts in late March on the Atlantic Coast of Florida! Come learn about a new lighting technology that lets you design outdoor lighting for your clients that is also safe for nesting sea turtles.

What we’ll Cover: DMF Lighting expert Lani Godfrey will take us through some of the key regulations in place along the coast of Florida to protect nesting sea turtles from ambient light. Then, he will show us how DMF has outdoor lighting solutions that are aesthetically pleasing, functional, and safe for the turtles!

The format: After this informative presentation, we’ll have a 30 minute Q&A where we will dive deeper into DMF’s sea turtle lighting solution and help answer any questions about your designs.
