HOME AUTOMATION
Turn “Wouldn’t it be nice…” Into your everyday reality
About to build or renovate your dream custom home?
We invite you to really dream about what’s possible with home automation.
What if you could do it all with one app?
You probably already have some elements of a “smart home.” Maybe you’ve got one app for your lights, another for your music, and yet another for your door station and cameras.
The truth is, mass market “smart home” solutions are very limiting. They wall you into one brand’s ecosystem and aren’t able to control a lot of electronics. Plus, that mass market technology is simply not designed to work in homes that are larger than 5,000 sq. ft., nor are they especially reliable or secure.
Custom home automation is designed to control the systems in your home – with just one app, that’s reliable and easy for anyone to master.
Our home automation approach is truly customized for your custom home and your sophisticated needs. And it puts you in control in a way off-the-shelf technology simply can’t.

FAQs
How is this really different from a mass market product like Google Home?
There are some major differences you should be aware of. First, mass market products aren’t controlling all the things we can in one app, like your cable boxes, Apple TVs, projector, and movie server. Second, there is a whole layer of customization and reliability that doesn’t get factored into mass market products, especially as the size of your home gets bigger.
Does Google use their $300 wifi products throughout their main campus? Of course not! They use secure, reliable, enterprise grade products — which is what we provide to clients like you.
Our goal is to create the best experience possible for discerning people who love technology, music, and movies. To do this at a high level involves more reliability, more scalability, and more customization so that you feel like the king or queen of your castle.
I thought everything was wireless now. Why do I need so many wires in my house?
Wireless technology is constantly improving. For the foreseeable future, wireless is still not the most reliable, effective, or secure way to enjoy your technology.
Think of a big IT room you’ve seen on a commercial: they have miles of wire in them because you get faster speeds, more secure connections, and more reliable performance. Pretty much all the wireless technology in our homes still have a wire attached to it, either by a power cable or other type of wire. Maybe one day batteries and wireless will be the best, but it’s not quite there yet.
How early should Pure Audio Video get involved in the custom home building process?
As early as possible! As soon as you hire an architect, we should be your next hire. So many elements of the home (lighting, shades, power, acoustics) are beyond the scope of what architects think about, yet technology is underpinning more and more parts of the home. We can help plan, design, and think things through as a team before you start building, which saves money and delays down the road.
What kind of service do you provide after you install the system? What happens if something stops working?
We are here to support and guide you for the long-term. We design our systems to minimize issues, and as a result, we receive far fewer service calls than the industry average.
If you do have an issue, we offer 24/7 phone support by trained technicians that know your system. We want your experience to be as perfect as it can possibly be, and we are committed to having long-lasting relationships with our clients. So if something isn’t right, we WANT to get to the bottom of it and fix it. Glitches don’t just annoy you; they annoy us, too!
